  1. Whisky Loving Pianist

Before the wine influence becomes more forceful, there’s a slightly funky, certainly oily, squidgy toffee-d shortbread > ginger cask depth with distillery character coming through loud and clear, even at the finish. Very likeable, just six months in that syrah cask might have been enough.

  2. Whiksey

    Nose

Some Stone, creamy Vanilla and Cookies with a bit spice. Very sweet and quite fruity, a bit of peach.
    Taste

Sweet nutty, well balanced alcohol and the spices come back. Easily drinkable, no edges,
    Finish

Pleasant finish, quite faint. Some notes of Walnuts, very interesting.

  3. Dre73

Powerful, fruity whisky. A lot of red fruits, nuts, some bitterness in the finish.
    Pleasant experience for sure.

    Nose

Fruity, berries, cherries, quite some alcohol. Waxy, oily. Some nuts, almonds, hazelnuts. Later on more floral notes.

    Taste

Pretty powerful, spicy, pepper. Red fruits, berries, cherries, prunes. Some nutty side, a hint of chocolate.

    Finish

Still some power, red fruits again, a touch of bitterness now. Medium long finish.

  4. Erik

Both in the nose and in the taste it is strong with fruit, sweetness, spices and oak. He has a lot of power for his 46%.

  6. Alex_Whisky_Corner

An exciting Blair Athol because he is simply different. But I mean this entirely in a positive way. The Syrah barrel did a great job and gave the whisky a very fruity and exciting taste. Absolutely recommended whisky!

    Nose
At the beginning, spicy wood hits my nose, followed by a variety of tropical fruits. Spices, wine gums and caramelized sugar are added.

    Taste
A syrupy sweetness fills the mouth. Now some oak spice hits the tongue, a little acidity and then the tropical fruits are present again.

    Finish
A long finish. Wonderfully sweet and with pleasant spices.

  7. Sporx

    Aroma
Wine notes (red), very sweet, apple banana, wood spice

    The taste
Wine, very intense, clear spicy oak, dry

    aftertaste
Medium length, sweetish, nice spicy wood, some pepper

  8. NightRainb0w

    Nose

Rum soaked raisin, tiramisu, vanilla, milk chocolate, brown sugar, baked apple. Smells more like rum than whisky.
    Taste

Oak, licorice root, rum soaked raisin, thin filter coffee, hazelnut, light wood spice.
    Finish

Medium length. Oak, raisin, caramel, coffee cake, walnut.
